Head Coach

Jayme Comer

Over the past three seasons leading the Warriors, Comer has led the program to a 33-13 overall record, with a 22-5 record in Sagamore Conference play. The Warriors have had 11 IFCA All-State selections and 2 IFCA All-Stars during this time. 
The 2023 season brought another year of success for the Warriors, finishing with a 7-3 overall record, with 2 athletes earning IFCA All-State Honors, and 5 Senior student-athletes signing to play college football. Pushing the number of athletes signing to play at the next next during Comer's tenure, to over 25 in four years. The 2023 Warriors earned the National Football Foundation Academic Team of Excellence award for the 3rd straight year, as well as being honored as an IFCA "Good Works" team for the 2nd straight year, an award that honors the community service acts of the program. 
The 2022 season found the Warriors starting a large number of new athletes in new positions while fighting through adversity throughout the season. The Warriors were able to finish with a 5-7 record, falling in the Sectional Championship game. The Warriors knocked off the Top 10 ranked teams in the first two rounds of the tourney and helped to set the foundation for the upcoming 2023 season. The 2022 Warrior Football team was honored by the IFCA as a "Good Works" team, for all of the work in the community that they partake in. The Warriors were also honored by the National Football Foundation as an Academic Team of Excellence, this was the 2nd straight year the Warriors earned this honor. 
During the 2021 season, the Warriors were able to earn a 10-2 overall record and worked to capture the 20th Conference Title in program history. 4 members of the team earned IFCA All-State Honors, and Center Kaleb Caudle earned a spot on the IFCA All-Star team. Five members of the Senior class earned IFCA Academic All-State honors, the most in school history.  While the team finished with a 3.19 GPA for the 1st Semester. 
In his first year as Head Coach (2020 season), Jayme Comer was able to lead the Warriors to an 11-1 season record and appearance in the 3A State Championship. Comer guided the Warriors to an undefeated regular season and the Sagamore Conference Title.  As well as Sectional, Regional, and Semi-State Championships, only the second Semi-State Championship in school history, and the first since 1999. 
Comer was able to guide the Warriors to 5 IFCA All-State selections, the most in school history.  As well as 2 IFCA Academic All-State selections, the most in school history. 
Coach Comer comes to the Warriors after a successful seven years at Western Boone High School. At WeBo Coach Comer led the most prolific offense in school history averaging over 40 points per game for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. During those seasons the Stars were crowned back-to-back IHSAA 2A State Champions. While at Western Boone Coach Comer also served as the Head Track and Field Coach, highlighted by a State Championship in the 2019 Men's High Jump.
Coach Comer and his wife Kristina met while competing in football and volleyball for the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds. Coach Comer and wife Kristina are proud parents to a 2-year-old son named K.J. They are also proud owners of an energetic black lab named CoCo.

Assistant Coaches 

Jon LUellen 

Defensive Coordinator



Coach Luellen will be entering his 1st year leading the Warriors as Defensive Coordinator. Luellen was able to lead a defensive back field that lead the conference in fewest points allowed per game. Luellen helped to develop all 4 members of the Defensive Backs to All-Conference honors. 
Upon graduating from high school, Jon jumped right into coaching starting at the middle school level for two years. Coach Luellen spent two years as the Defensive Coordinator for the Brownsburg High School Freshmen team. Jon spent the next four years as the Defensive Backs coach for Brownsburg High School. Most Recently he has helped scout and consult for Western Boone after returning from Colorado. Coach Luellen brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to the defensive side of the ball.  

Brandon Kidd

Wings & Tight Ends 

Coach Kidd is entering his 14th year coaching and his 4th year here at Danville. He attended Speedway High school where he graduated in 2005. He went on to play football at Manchester University and served our country in the Air Force. Coach Kidd is very excited to see what all the Warriors can accomplish this season. 

Clayton Barber

Wide Receivers & 9th Grade OC

Coach Barber is entering his 3rd year coaching for the Warriors and teaches Health and PE at the High School. Coach Barber attended Lebanon High School where he was a 4 year letterman in football and basketball, graduating in 2017. Clayton attended Indiana State University where he got his bachelors in Physical Education. 



Jordan Galliher

Defensive Line


Coach Galliher is entering his 5th year coaching at the high school level, 1 year in Kentucky and at Cascade, and his 3rd year here at Danville. Galliher graduated from Danville in 2011 and was a 3 year letterman and team captain for the Warriors. He went to play Defensive Line at Campbellsville University. Coach Galliher is excited to be coaching for his alma mater and to be able to give back to his community. 

Eric Drake

Linebackers Coach


Coach Drake is entering his second year coaching for the Warriors. He attended Plainfield High School and was a three year letterman, graduating in 2011. Coach Drake continued his football career at Franklin College. He was a three year letterman there as well and additionally he was voted as a team captain his senior year. Coach Drake had the privilege to play professionally with the Columbus Lions of the National Arena League (NAL) for a brief time.  Coach Drake is excited to be back home in Hendricks County.

Cayden Madding

Outside Linebackers & JV DC


Coach Madding is entering his second year coaching for the Warriors. He attended Avon High School from 19'-21', then Danville High School from 21'-22'. Coach Madding lettered 3 times during his high school career and earned 2nd Team All-Conference his senior year as Danville. Coach Madding is very excited to be coach at his alma mater. 

Jesse Howard

Offensive Line


Coach Howard is entering his first year with the Warriors as the offensive line coach. He attended North Montgomery High School where he was an All State center and graduated in 2015. His football career continued onto college where he served as an undergraduate assistant with the Offensive line at Purdue University where he was able to be a part of two bowl appearances.  Coach Howard looks forward to working with student athletes to ensure that they are successful on and off the field

Justin Tharp

Offensive Line 

Coach Tharp is entering his 3rd year coaching and his 1st year here at Danville High School. Coach Tharp attended both Danville and Plainfield High School, graduating from Plainfield. During his years in high school, he was a 3-year letterman. Coach Tharp is happy to be back where his high school career started. 

Kam Caudle

Coach Caudle is entering his first year coaching here at Danville. He graduated from Danville in 2016 and will be coaching the Offensive and Defensive Lines

Wyatt Gentry

Assistant DB & 9th Grade Coach

Coach Gentry is entering his first year coaching here at Danville. He graduated from Danville in 2023 and will be assisting with the Defensive Backs and the Freshman Defense. Coach Gentry is very excited to be back in the program helping the players become the best versions of themselves.
